Sadly we've had to pull out of the next two gigs in the Pavilion (6/9/2007) and Auntie Annie's (11/9/2007) due to a thumb injury to our bass player Mickey. Please still attend these gigs as the other acts on the bill are more than worth it!

At a recent gig organised for the 10 anniversary of OK Computer our own Amy McGarrigle performed a cracking live version of 'Climbing up the Walls' so check it out here

It's been a wee while since a Boathouse news update but in that time a few changes have taken place.
Sadly, Amy Laverty has left Boathouse. Amy felt she didn't have the time to spare to the band with her university studies. In her brief time with the band, Amy made a positive impact to the overall sound that will be missed greatly. Boathouse wish her all the best for the future.
Shortly after that Boathouse recruited Amy McGarrigle. Amy is a well known local singer/songwriter in her own right with a superb voice (please check the link section).
With Amy on-board the sound has evolved in a new and exciting direction! Good news for all Boathouse fans!
Sunday, January 14th - 18:24pm
Boathouse are pleased to announce and welcome Keir Hurley on-board as the new Boathouse drummer! Keir will add his own unique touch to the ever evolving Boathouse sound!
Thanks to all who displayed an interest in the post.
Roll on 2007!
Friday, December 22nd - 13:18pm
Festive greetings all!
Just to let you know that the hunt is on for the new Boathouse drummer. Auditions started recently and the new member should be unveiled in the new year!
Also please keep checking our MySpace
site as there will be some live versions posted of new songs taken from the last couple of Boathouse gigs in the near future! Every once in a while these songs will change, so keep your eyes peeled!
Have a happy and peaceful holiday!
Boathouse
Thursday, December 7th - 14:55pm
It is with great sadness that Boathouse announce the departure of their long-standing drummer Michael Hession. Michael has been playing with a few members of the band in one form or another for around 15 years.
Michael felt that he could not afford the band the time it needed due to family/work commitments and that his decision to leave was better for all in the long-run.
Those of you who know Michael will know what a cracking drummer he is, but more importantly that he is a great guy and one of our best friends. We're going to miss not having him around as much....more than he probably knows.
Sunday, November 5th - 13:59pm
We have been recently proud to announce a new member to the boathouse clique!...Amy Laverty! Being a multi-instrumentalist with a beautiful voice, Amy brings an extra dimension to the boathouse sound! So come along to the next gig to see the new line-up in action!
Tuesday, September 19th - 15:19pm
Hey you! Check out the 'about us' section for updates! Profiles of the band members are up from today!
Thursday, September 7th - 10:49am
